Required kata: All Heian Kata, Tekki Shodan; Tekki Nidan; Tekki Sandan; Bassai Dai; Kanku Dai; Hangetsu; Empi; Jion; Gankaku; Jitte; Bassai Sho; Kanku Sho; Chinte; Unsu; Sochin

Demonstration of tehniques on punching bag


Tokui waza - the ability to execute tokui waza in fighting situation

ADVANCEMENT

RING CONTROLLER, REFEREE, JUDGE

Annual standardisation seminars held by headquarters

Minimum of six SA JKA Referee stamps in Lifebook

National/regional seminars and training

Only stamps from official SA JKA tournaments will be recognised and must be signed by Referee Director, Chief Referee or Technical Director

Training held by visiting international instructors

Qualification as Ring Controller, Referee or judge at National/Regional examination is required. Valid for 3 years.

International seminars/gasshuku (Japan) - requires approal by SA JKA HQ
